Roger also maintains an active private teaching schedule, with pupils ranging from six to sixty years old, spanning all levels of ability from beginners through accomplished performers. When Roger was a young boy he dreaded his weekly piano lessons. Although he loved music, his lessons were not remotely enjoyable, and his teacher had no interest in engaging him as a human being. This experience made him resolve, as a teacher, to make his lessons a time students would look forward to and value. They would get quality and dedicated instruction, with repertoire geared to each individual taste and skill level.
